About Us

OCMD-votefor.org is a blog run by and for the Ocean City Employee Coalition.  Our purpose is to educate the voters of Ocean City on the ballot question concerning amending the town charter, which voters will be asked to vote “FOR” or “AGAINST” on November 6th.  We want to educate voters to make sure they understand that a vote FOR amending the charter does NOT give the union to the general employees of Ocean City, but only the right to choose for themseves if they would like to bargain collectively with the town or not.  Whether or not the general employees of Ocean City will have a union is something they will vote on after the election – IF the people of Ocean City allow the general employees this choice.  We are asking the voters to give the town employees this opportunity to make their own democratic decision by voting FOR amending the charter on November 6th.
